Events Page for Doc Scantlin & His Imperial Palms Orchestra
From royalty to retro dancers, corporations to cotillions, young rockers to world leaders, we continue to charm and excite them all; even those who claim never to have liked "Big Band" music.
Created in 1983 by Doc Scantlin, the band has performed at countless prestigious events internationally, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Ball, the wedding of Marie Chantal to Prince Pavlos of Greece, the weddings of both Aerin and Jane Lauder, Ronald Reagan’s 80th birthday celebration, Cartier’s 125th Anniversary Gala at the Museum of Modern Art, the dedication of the World War II and Air Force National Memorials, the Centennial Celebration of the New York Public Library, numerous inaugural events and concert performances for people of all ages. The orchestra performed yearly as the featured entertainment at New York’s famous Rainbow Room’s legendary New Year’s Eve Celebration, as well as performing regularly at their own supper club events in Washington, D.C.
Doc and Chou Chou also perform with six musicians in their new act, “Doc Scantlin’s Palmettos”, which is a smaller configurations of the Imperial Palms and is available upon request for more intimate functions.
Doc Scantlin and his Imperial Palms Orchestra and Doc Scantlin’s Palmettos are proudly presented through Chou Chou Productions, LLC.
